Outpatient Clinician

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing for more than nine years in this field. I was born in northern New Jersey, raised there, and later moved to Miami, Florida. Now, being a resident of New Mexico for thirteen years, I feel like I have a place I can call home. I am the daughter of immigrants from Ecuador and Uruguay and am bilingual in Spanish and English. Given my personal, work-related, and cultural experiences, I understand the benefits and challenges that occur in families with similar circumstances when it comes to balancing the multicultural experience.

My goal as a therapist is to help my clients focus on what matters to them, to learn how to recognize their strength and power, and to help them on their journey to finding solutions to their challenges. I have experience working with adolescents in a school-based health center. Throughout my career, I have worked with people experiencing depression, anxiety, with trauma histories, sense of self issues, relationship problems, substance abuse, needing parenting support, navigating life transitions, and many other quality of life concerns. The therapeutic frameworks I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) , Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) , narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing.
